Walking On Water Dream Surf Camps
This was our 11th year of Walking On Water Surf Camps! It was such a blessing to have special guests this year at our “Dream” surf
camps. The students were excited to meet a few of their heros including CJ Hobgood, Damien Hobgood, Bethany Hamilton, and Tom
Curren! CJ visited the students at the Walking On Water Dream Surf Camp just days before winning the US Open in Huntington Beach.
Here is what one camper had to say, “Hi Bryan! It's Hunter Smith from surf camp. You probably remember me. I just wanted to say Hi
because I was so sad when I had to leave the camp. I just never wanted to leave and on the way home from camp, I thought wow, I'll
never be able to see you for like a year because the next surf camp for me is a year away, and I was thinking I can't wait a year to see
you and the other people from the surf camp. Wow, I can't believe how much fun I had at your camp and I want to go back every year I
can! I had a blast!!!” - Hunter Smith
The Seven Mile Miracle
As we have been producing the Walking On Water surf films over the past ten years, there have been a few independent surf cinemato-graphers who have contributed their amazing footage for our films. Craig Hoffmann has provided Walking On Water with high quality surf footage over the years. He finally decided to produce his own surf film. He did an amazing job with The Seven Mile Miracle. We strongly recommend you see this Christian surf film. It is available at www.walkingonwater.org
The phrase... The Seven Mile Miracle... describes the celebrated
and revered stretch of coastline on the north shore of Oahu in
Hawaii. The north shore of Oahu has always been the focal point
of surfing... the capital of the surfing world... the place where the
best surfers in the world come to challenge themselves in the
greatest waves in the world. Come along as this film takes us on
a journey of discovery into the heart of The Seven Mile Miracle...
and ultimately to the heart of the Creator of it all.
United 07 - European Outreaches
Walking On Water in partnership with Globe International, Globe Europe (mission’s agencies), and Christian Surfers Holland did a series of outreaches in Germany and Holland June 28th - July 3rd. The team was composed of Walking On Water Director of Outreach Mike Doyle, Globe President Doug Gehman, local german missionaries Johaness and Esther Bauman, pro skaters Richard Mulder and Chad Tim Tim, DJ Mytar, the Today’s skateboards skate team, the Deeper skate team, and volun- teers from the US, England, Scotland and Germany. The team coordinated a Noah’s Arc Premiere in German subtitles, a huge skate contest with over 300 people in attendance, and an outreach with a Christian skate film. The week in Germany was a great success and we saw many young people get saved and lives touched for God. Next, half the team continued on to Holland, and after settling in the crazy city of Amsterdam did two outreaches in cities outside of Amsterdam. In Zutphen hundreds of kids turned out and over 90 prayed to receive Christ, the outreach was a incredible. The next day we traveled to Katwijk where we worked with Christian Surfers Holland to do a skate demo and Noah’s Arc premiere. We were amazed to see the Spirit of God move so powerfully in Holland. We want to thank everyone who supported the trip through their prayers and giving. For photos and to learn more go to: www.unitedtour.org

United 07 - U.S. Open of Surfing Outreach
The US Open is the largest surf contest in the world and it goes down ever year at the pier in Huntington Beach in July. It is estimated that over the course of the weekend over 300,000 people turn out for the event. Starting three years ago Walking On Water has been reaching out at the US Open by having a booth in the festival area and passing out free copies of our films. And this year was our best yet. Through our partnership with Christian Surfers and many supportive Orange County and San Diego churches we were able to make the annual outreach a huge success. We had an amazing 20’x20’ booth in the festival area with plasma screens showing Christian surf films, a live DJ, couches, a floor up out of the sand, bamboo walls, free Christian resources, and outgoing, friendly volunteers. We also had around 100 volunteers with United 07 t-shirts who ended up passing out 16,000 evangelistic films and CD’s to the crowd. Our goal is to be witness and presence for Christ in the midst of the darkness of the US Open and the event went amazing. Walking On Water would like to extend a very special thank you to Christian Surfers and all the churches that supported the event.
